Huan Ning received the Breakthrough Graduate Scholar Award and the SPARC Graduate Research Grant!
Huan Ning, our PhD candidate, was selected to receive one of the 14 Breakthrough Graduate Scholar awards across the entire USC system. In addition, Huan is also one of only 49 graduate students at USC to receive a SPARC Graduate Research Grant for 2022–23. The grant will support his research project “Neighborhood Mobility Assessment for Wheelchair Users Using Street View Imagery and Artificial Intelligence.”

“Each year, the Office of the Vice President for Research receives a large number of nominations for each of the Breakthrough awards, and a committee of faculty reviewers selects award recipients from the many remarkable faculty and graduate student nominees representing the entire USC system.
